Description
When using the DSPS® for SRS/SRT, the system consists of a “double shell” of two masks made of special thermoplastic materials formulated specifically for use with the cradle. The patented material of the occipitalmask is rigid enough to hold the patient’s head during molding, acting as a “second skin” to create a perfect mold of the occiput.
There is no need for an additional head support and there is full access to customize the mask around the patient’s neck and occipital bones. The facial mask is not overstretched and therefore extremely rigid. Both masks do not shrink, resulting in a comfortable set-up for the patient with published immobilization accuracy
