The Spaced FusionCoil marker consists of two 5mm open-spiral, gold coils with titanium alloy cores separated by a 15MM bioabsorbable spacer. This reduces needle sticks and provides a stable, defined spacing between the markers to facilitate Synchrony and Varian’s ABH tracking algorithms. Also, because of the low density and high magnetic susceptibility of titanium, the FusionCoil’s unique design reduces the CT imaging artifact seen with other gold markers while enhancing visibility in MRI.
